Presentation Guidelines and Tips
GENERAL INFO
- MEETING15 software has been chosen as a platform for the on-line conference.
- Each participant will receive an individual link for login. The message will be sent from MEETING15 web@meeting15.com and the email subject will be „Microwave and Radiolocation Foundation-MIKON invites you to Microwave and Radar Week MRW-2020 on-line”.
- During the first login the system will ask you to create a new password (min 8 characters long). Once this will be done you can login by clicking on the same link from email.
- You will receive access to conference virtual rooms according to your registration profile. See the conference program with assigned virtual rooms here (coming soon). During the conference you are free to choose what sessions (according to your registration profile) to observe.
- To change virtual rooms simply click (<PREV) or (NEXT>) buttons. Virtual room name and a date will be shown in a middle, between mentioned buttons.
- In each virtual room you will see all assigned sessions with a time slots.
- To see session detailed agenda please click on the session name, a popup window will appear, click on the “Click here to see detailed session agenda”, detailed session agenda will be opened in a new tab.
- To see a live broadcast from a specific session please click on the camera icon on the right.
- Transmission will appear.
- After each talk during the session, you can ask the presenting author questions via build in chat. Click on the question mark icon on the right, a popup window will appear. Provide you question in the text field and click “SEND”.
- If the chairman of a session finds your question valuable, he will voice it.
ORAL PRESENTATION
- We recommend to use official conference presentation template (download here)
- The time allocated for each speaker is 20 minutes, so the talk should take approximately 15 minutes and 5 minutes should be allocated for questions.
- There is no limit on the number of slides in your presentation – the only limitation is time. However, a good practice is to keep the pace of the talk with about one slide per minute.
- The authors participating in-person in the conference should have their presentations ready before the session, where the talk will be given.
- Please send us your presentation before the conference starts to mrw2020@mazurkas.pl or deliver it directly to the technician before your session (during the coffee break).
ON-LINE ORAL PRESENTATION
- Zoom has been chosen as a platform for the on-line presentation.
- If you are a new user of Zoom, you are advised to read the following instruction before the conference:

- We recommend to use official conference presentation template (download here)
- The time allocated for each speaker is 20 minutes, so the talk should take approximately 15 minutes and 5 minutes should be allocated for questions.

- The authors with on-line presentations are kindly asked to send the presentation with recorded voice to mrw2020@mazurkas.plin case of any problems with on-line connection during the conference. Please send it before 30.09.2020. The presentation with recorded voice can be made via PowerPoint, see instruction here. Accepted file format is .MP4. Pre-recorded presentations will be used only in case of troubles with the internet connection during the live sessions. The upload of the presentation could be made via cloud services File Mail https://en.filemail.com/ [the receiver’s address should be: mrw2020@mazurkas.pl].
- All authors with on-line presentations will give them in real-time. In case of serious troubles with the Internet connection, presentation with the voice recorded (as sent before to the conference) will be played.

- On the date of your presentation:
- You should enter the appropriate zoom meeting where your session will be broadcasted (we will send links a few days before the conference starts).
- All participants will be automatically muted and their video will be off.
- 10 minutes before your on-line presentation our technician will contact you on a private chat on Zoom
- At the time of your presentation you will be unmuted and video will be on.
- You should share your screen with your presentation and start your speech.
It is very important that you name your ZOOM profile according to your first and last name, as we have in a programme. If technician cannot find you during the session where your paper is allocated, you will receive a no-show status and your publication will not be published in the IEEE Xplore.
- Please be prepared before your session starts:
- Check your internet connection, microphone (please use external microphone or headset with build in microphone), camera, install necessary software before live broadcast].
- Make sure that you will be presenting from a quiet place and there will be no sources of light behind your back.
- If you need any individual testing and help with Zoom, please contact us directly to mrw2020@mazurkas.pl. We will schedule a test call with you. Please do it before 09.2020.
POSTER PRESENTATION
- When preparing a poster, presenters should have in mind the objective of capturing the interest of attendees to the work that is being presented. Use an appropriate font size allowing posters to be readable by delegates from 2 m away.
- Posters should be constructed in portrait layout to a maximum size of 85 cm (width) x 120 cm (height). The optimal size is A0 (A0 prints measure is 841mm x 1189mm). The poster board is fitted to hold a poster of an A0 format. We strongly encourage you to provide a poster of this size and not multiple A3 or A4 individual sheets to fit within A0 size.
- Posters should be set-up the day you are presenting around the morning coffee break. Be aware that the local organization may be able to assist you with the appropriate material. Posters should be set-up on the poster board using only dual-face sticking tape or similar tool supplied by the local organization. Staples, pins, screws or any abrasive or perforating hardware are not permitted. Do not write or paint on the poster boards.
- Posters should be removed from the boards by the end of the day (6 pm at the latest). If not, they will be removed.
- Please also send your poster as a PDF file to mrw2020@mazurkas.pl

MRW 2020 POSTCONFERENCE SPECIAL ISSUES
Authors of the papers submitted to MRW 2020 conferences are invited to write an extended postconference paper to be published in a Special Issue of:
- MDPI Remote Sensing entitled “Microwave and Radar Week 2020 – Special Issue” (link)
The Editors of that issue are Prof. Konrad Jędrzejewski, Prof. Adam Abramowicz and Prof. Paolo Colantonio - MDPI Sensors SI entitled “Modern Radar Systems” (link)

MIKON Postconference Papers
Authors of the papers with the best review score submitted to the MIKON conference will be invited to write an extended postconference paper to be published in a Special Issue of IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques and Special Issue “Emerging Technologies in Communications and Networking: 5G and Beyond” of Sensors.
The Guest-Editor of that issue will be Prof. Michal Mrozowski from Gdansk University of Technology.
MRW 2020 POSTCONFERENCE SPECIAL ISSUES
Authors of the papers submitted to MRW 2020 conferences are invited to write an extended postconference paper to be published in a Special Issue of:
